UPDATED FEBRUARY 10, 2012  --- KINDLE USERS PLEASE NOTE:

KAL was informed today of a change in the way Penguin published books will be delivered to Kindle users.  The email stated:  Penguin eBooks loaned for reading on Kindle devices will need to be downloaded to a computer then transferred to the device over USB. For library patrons, this means Penguin eBooks will no longer be available for over-the-air delivery to Kindle devices or to Kindle apps. “

It’s just a few short steps to get started enjoying library eBooks on your Kindle.  If you have a different device, click here for information about downloading eBooks and audio books to a non-Kindle device.

Using your PC or Mac®, you can sign in to the website and browse the collection.  One tip is to use the search capability and search MOLib2GO using the “Kindle Book” format.   After you have checked out a Kindle book, your download screen will show a “Get for Kindle” button.  When you select that button, you will be taken to www.amazon.com to complete the download process.   You will need to sign in with the Amazon.com ID that you established to manage your Kindle purchases.  From there it is is a simple one step process to download your library book to your Kindle WiFi enabled device.  If WiFi is not enabled on your Kindle OR the book is one published by Penguin, follow the instructions at www.amazon.com to transfer your borrowed book to your Kindle using a USB cable.    Note that when you finish your book, it is possible to check it in using the Actions button for the library book from your “Manage My Kindle” screen.   There are never any late fees when you use MOLib2GO!

This new service, powered by OverDrive, is available now and is free with your library card.  Help and ‘How To’ Guides are available, so if you are stumped, look for the “My Help” logo and follow step by step instructions.   Click on the link below to get started now downloading books to your Kindle device!
